Greetings Rainier Elementary Families,
We have a busy month of March leading up to Spring Break at the end of the month. Some things that are happening include Donuts With Dads, Spring Pictures, Parent Teacher Conferences, Report Cards, and an awards assembly.
It was great to see all of the STEAM projects presented in classrooms by our innovative and problem-solving students. Our world is in good hands with students like ours thinking about how to make the world a better place :-).
As we review grades and academic progress at conferences, we see the "glows and the grows." You should be proud of the work that your students are producing as we help students prepare for the world ahead. All students, and staff members, always have something that we can do a little better. We want to balance those things so that we can continue to be lifelong learners working the continuous cycle of improvement without feeling overwhelmed by the tasks.
Lastly, as Rainier Elementary is on JBLM, it comes as no surprise that events in Iran directly affect our Rainier families and students. If needs arise, please reach out. We have the support of our MFLC Liz Grasher running lunch bunch groups, and our Counselor Kelli Bacher teaching lessons on coping strategies and healthy choices. We want to support you as families and students so that we can continue to learn and grow.
Educationally,
Joshua Rockey
