During the month of January students in all grade levels will finish our basketball unit. We have been learning how to dribble, pass, defend, and shoot. We also have been discussing basketball rules and key terms such as double dribble, traveling, foul, and rebound.

Kindergarten-2nd: Students will play a variety of team building games to reinforce the importance of working together and sportsmanship.

3rd-5th: Students will begin setting individual fitness goals by participating in the Personal Best Fitness Test. Students will be assessed on cardio respiratory endurance (1 mile run), muscular strength (push-ups), and muscular endurance (sit-ups). Our grade level goal time to finish the 1 mile run is listed below. All data will be recorded in Skyward.

3rd- Finish 1 mile in 16 minutes
4th- Finish 1 mile in 15 minutes
5th- Finish 1 mile in 13 minutes
