Books!

Rainier Elementary is the school being spotlighted during February in the Book Patch library on Main Post/JBLM. Art work will be on display from Kindergarten through 4th grade along with photographs of recent Battle of the Books winning teams. Pictures of Hollis Woods, a film produced by four students in Ms. Springer’s 4th grade class and three students in Ms. Fowler’s 4th/5th Hi Cap class for the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival, will play on a continuous loop at random intervals on all Fridays except February 14. If the 3 ½ minute movie is not playing when your family is there, ask the staff to play it for you on the screen behind the circulation desk.

Book Patch is open M-W 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Th-F 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Saturday 12 p.m. -5 p.m. DONSA hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Book Patch has a myriad of programs and activities available for children in Pre-School through 8th grade. Step inside to admire Rainier’s artwork and find out what is available for your children to read and do at the Book Patch. This library is located at 2109 N. 10th Street and Pendleton Avenue and their phone number is (253) 967-5533.
